Yeah, we really need someone with a business mindset that actually likes Canada in charge. Imagine the assets that could be created if they just understood basic investment principles. Not to mention huge spending reductions which would be embarrassingly easy to do.
Well, so many jobs are held by government employees it’ll be impossible to cut spending without cutting that workforce. And as the workforce grows it’ll be tougher to shrink it. It’s a huge problem - so many at the government teat.
Yeah well I think that is one of the biggest areas to cut. There is no valid reason for such big government. It is like you say, a parasite on the country. Government should have enough resources to do its job but it has become more than excessive. Wouldn’t be surprised if upon investigation government could be reduced by half of what it currently is. That’s a whole ton of money right there. But also dumb policies like you know, giving millions of dollars to schools in Giza that are controlled by actual terrorists, could be easily cut.
So true. So much could be cut. Such a waste currently.
