Yeah I told my dad about the Songbird movie about a COVID-21 police state. And my dad who is a scared boomer terrified of COVID said that the government shouldn't allow Hollywood to make movies like that because it will panic the people.

My dad sounds authoritarian as fuck. And he is a Conservative Party supporter. He is part of Doug Ford's base. The 905 is full of Karens who want low taxes. That's what the Ontario Tories' base is. Ontario Tories don't care about liberty like American Republicans. And my dad being 72 might not have long to live when Trudeau and Doug Ford raise taxes anyways to pay for this mess. So he doesn't care about the trail of destruction being left behind just to make sure that he doesn't die from this virus. Even though my dad seems healthy enough that I'm sure his immune system would be able to fight this virus efficiently. He's not a fat ass, not diabetic, no heart disease. And he takes 2000 IU of Vitamin D3 daily. And I've been encouraging him to de-stress, get sunlight and sleep well to boost his immune system. He has prostate cancer (which is the cancer with like the best prognosis for men) but he finished his treatment, his cancer cells shrunk (it didn't kill the cancer cells 100%) and his PSA levels are normal now. He doesn't need further treatment unless the cancer starts growing again. But he watches so much CNN and CP24 that he thinks that there is a high chance that this coronavirus will put him in the ICU or kill him. Even though I told him that fear will literally weaken his immune system.

74% of elderly Canadians (65+) have at least one pre-existing condition. The media should stop telling old people that they gonna get REKT'd by COVID if they get it. The vast majority of elderly people with pre-existing conditions have mild symptoms. That's how weak this virus is. You have to be very weak or very unlucky to end up in the ICU or cemetery from this. The elderly and sick should shield as much as they can (if they want. It should be voluntary). But the rest of us shouldn't be forced to lock down like dogs.
