The left went from "Ok Boomer" in late 2019/early 2020 to expecting society to lock down to save the boomers and Silent Gen from this virus.
Death is a part of life. Holy shit. A 13 year old boy in America killed himself because his parents wouldn't allow him to see his friends and live a normal teenage boy life (the media didn't mention the last part. They just said COVID made him commit suicide). But hey let's sacrifice our lives for 84 year olds so they can watch TV and garden for a couple more years. Give me a fucking break.
We never locked down like this for the 1918 H1N1 pandemic and that killed far more people. And with how liberal the accounting of COVID deaths are (died with COVID, not from), it's entirely possible that SARS-CoV-2 could be on the level of a bad flu season. 8,511 Canadians died of flu/pneumonia in 2018 according to statscan. But statscan doesn't do this "died with flu" horse shit like the "died with COVID" crap.
Has anyone been able to find all-cause mortality statistics from March 2020 onward in Canada/Ontario? And data from previous years to compare?
And if there's excess mortality now compared to last years, how much of that is suicide, drug overdose and other deaths of despair caused by lockdowns? How much of that is heart attacks because people didn't go to the hospital? Or cancer deaths due to missed biopsies? We need a deep dive into the data. This stupid ticker is useless. Died with COVID =/= Died from COVID.
We have such a pussified society.
