to be fair, the Romans (who came later) took a lot of their culture from Ancient Greece. In turn, the Greeks learned a lot from Ancient Egypt. A surprising amount of Western culture was born in Ancient Egypt.
Those "we wuz kangs" people don't know shit about ancient Egypt. I actually studied it. The actual descendants of the Ancient Egyptians live on in the Coptic people. It is their language that was required for Champollion to decipher the Rosetta Stone. And no I didnt just Google this.
