Most consumers of mass media and pop culture are playthings of demons - they will be easily convinced the reason they still aren't free is because their neighbor isn't locking down hard enough and taking enough vaccines.

They are going to turn into dangerous zombies, but they themselves can't do anything, so they'll be shrieking for authorities to start hunting and physically assaulting whoever they perceive to be the source of the plague.

The same escalation occurred in Nazi Germany - they didn't go insane immediately, it was incremental exploitation of their fear and disgust mechanisms. It is happening again.

As usual the media narrative will be inverted from the truth - those who want to be peaceful and left alone will be the violent extremists - and those actually setting fires, vandalism, and calling for totalitarianism will be the innocent victims of unreasoning radicals. It is all so predictable and tiring. It would be boring and unworthy of attention if it wasn't so dangerous.
