Ya i was gonna write "cool, now review the reserves."

Wait until cbc finds out the reserves as natives sitting in their own feces but it'll be presented as canadians fault.

Natives are truly the most useless demographic and choose a country, they are all useless.

A colleague of mine had a native roommate 10years ago. She had a masters, she was pretty much disowned by her family/reserve. Fucked up someone wants to try and better themselves with an education a good job and get off the reserves gets treated like dirt.

This. I have seen this attitude on the reserve first hand. It's the mindset you would have seen in communist Russia. Rather have everyone starve than have one person make more of themselves than the other.

It's insanity.

Crabs in a bucket. It’s like with any kind of economic ghetto, from homeless “transitionary housing”, to the projects. Can’t succeed in that kind of environment.

I spent some time on a reserve in Australia.

No one from the community wanted to better themselves because those that tried just had other community members come squat in their house and steal and break their shit because "sharing" was part of the "culture"

Heard the same amongst Africans. One runs a store or something and the entire extended family, friends, whatever think they can mooch. Have to move away or your own family will parasitize you into bankruptcy.

On this reserve in Australia, the government at some point had built an entire subdivision of modern homes beside the desert highway like you'd see in any Canadian suburb.

Except all of the new homes were sitting empty and abandoned and covered in graffiti and full of bullet holes because community members absolutely destroyed them.

I'd never see anything like it. It was the closest thing I've ever experienced that looked like a warzone.

It depends on where we’re from, some like the Haida are/were industrious. Others like the Salish didn’t develop much further than walking to the beach for clams.

CBC. Gets worse every year I swear. May as well call it “boohoo Indians TV”. A lot of “news” or “features” is ‘muh indigynus’ this that the other. Obligatory Red Indian story.

What about the peoples that were before the Indians? Oh yeah. They wiped em out.

Even today its bad. I know a social worker that works on the local rez and the stories she has told are horrific. And this is one of the "nice" reserves.

All the survivors I see are fat as fuck and havent worked a day in their lives. Few are thin, but are listerine addicts.

I heard from St Paul AB local that the pejorative is ‘chuggers’, a la the listerine thing.

Bemusing as in the UK a ‘chugger’ is a ‘charity mugger’- one of those annoying young charity street interceptors wanting you to sponsor poor waifs around the world, usually something like ‘Plan Canada’ Africa blathering all about ‘giving girls and women a chance’. I usually decline saying that’s sexist, or that they are wasting their time doing it in African countries with Islamic governments.

Sounds like typical of education of the time. Strict and student required to (gasp) work. Most students of RS had a good or neutral experience. The biggest complaint was bullying by other aboriginal students. Less than 2% of aboriginals of the last century attended a RS, and of those, most only attended for a year or two. Despite this, SJW strive to make RS the centre of aboriginal life and problems. Nonsense.

A nun punching you in the face and being forced to eat your own vomit is indeed abuse and I'm sorry they went through that. Were they all like that? No. Would many have received the same or worse at home? Sure. It's about having the proper perspective on this. It should not have happened. If there remain some we can hold responsible then we should, if we haven't already, probably already have been lawsuits, certainly we pay boatloads in handouts. But this should not be used to demoralize and tear down Whites and Canada. Cause the thing that sets Whites and Western countries apart is our ability to admit wrong and make good countries. What was here before, and what will come after if Whites go away, will be far, far worse, especially for the Aboriginals.
