Polls are useless, even shortly before the actual vote. Anything can happen.
It's definitely too early to call right now. The campaign hasn't even started, meaning we have no idea what the parties have on each other. For all we know, there's some bombshells getting ready to go off.
Of course it matters. If they get a majority, we're stuck with them for four years (at least). If they get a minority, we can swap party leaders out and get another early election one or two years down the road.
So why don't you get involved, campaign for the leadership candidate you like and make sure they win?
Oh that's right, you're with the PPC now, which begs the question: What are you even complaining about? What's bad for the CPC is good for the PPC, no? Like do you want the CPC to fail and keep handing election to Trudeau or don't you?
"Stood up for"? What is this, grade school? What did you want them to do, walk across the floor of the HoC and put Trudeau in a headlock?
The only way any party can alleviate this situation is if they get elected and take over the government. And you can't get elected if you campaign on the promise to do that because the majority of Canadians actually support the tyranny.
How is this so difficult to understand?
No, rational people understand that in an election race, if taking a certain position on a subject publicly will guarantee you lose the election, then you don't don't take that position. Rational people understand that elections are about winning, not about virute-signalling to crazy fringe lunatics and then ending up with zero seats as a result. Holy shit.
Imagine a PPC describing himself as "rational". I've fuckign heard it all now.
That's right. Just keep refusing to understand the realities of electoral politics.
