Total new cases: 11,582

Unvaxxed: 1,554

Vaxxed: 9,255

And for the resident propagandists who were crying about the rate per 100 k

Unvaxxed: 57.83

Vaxxed: 81.37

Some of the vaxx whores on Reddit have stopped charting vaccine effectiveness against confirmed case because vaccine effectiveness has been negative for a couple of weeks now. You're more likely to get covid if you're vaccinated. But you go ahead and line up for that booster. Your thumping heart and clotted brain will thank you.

It reduces transmission wait no it doesn't

It reduces risk of being hospitalized...nope

It reduces risk of an ICU visit....next domino to fall

More cases per 100k 75% of hospitalizations are vaccinated 50% of ICU admissions and rising

The numbers are here: https://covid19-sciencetable.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/2022-01-05-Current-COVID-19-Risk-in-Ontario-by-Vaccination-Status-Separate-Charts-1024x317.png

The unvaccinated in Ontario are more likely to wind up needing hospital care, and far more likely to wind in in the ICU.

It appears some people are having trouble with the difference between a count and a rate. They are confused by the graphs above and the hospitalized/ICU pie charts at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/data. See if this helps:

If you have 10 jelly beans and 3 of them are red, and your friend has 100 jelly beans and 6 of them are red, then more of your jelly beans are red than his. Proportionally 30% of yours are red and only 6% of your friend's are.

Same with the covid numbers. The percentage of unvaxxed people in the hospital and ICU is way higher than the percentage of vaxxed people.

Sorry pal there's a lag in the data talk to me in a month.

-6
tuchodi -6 points ago +2 / -8

Omicron is changing things, alright, but so far it doesn't look like we'll reach a point where getting vaccinated doesn't lessen the load on the healthcare system. Certainly not in a month, I think. We'll see.

If you are within 2 weeks of receiving a shot and end up in the hospital you are considered unvaxxed for reporting purposes. Wake up.

-5
tuchodi -5 points ago +1 / -6

receiving a the first shot

There aren't very many of those. 12% of the population of Ontario is considered unvaccinated - see "All eligible Ontarians" at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/data. And that number isn't changing very fast. There aren't many people in that 2 week slot.

Most people who can and want to get vaccinated have started the process, and the vast majority of them started more than two weeks ago - see "Daily and total vaccinations over time" and "Total doses administered", cumulative, graph, on the above web page.

So you are talking about a few people. After 14 days they are counted as "partially vaccinated"

4
yuppa 4 points ago +4 / -0

You are wrong. You are considered unvaxxinated for 2 weeks after ANY shot, second or booster included.

-4
tuchodi -4 points ago +1 / -5

Nope.

"Partially vaccinated

A person who received:

only the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine series (for example, Pfizer or Moderna) approved by Health Canada, or
only the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine series, not approved by Health Canada, or
2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, not approved by Health Canada
1 dose of a Health Canada-approved vaccine, followed by a dose of a non- Health Canada approved vaccine."

There will be a substantial percentage that sees through the nonsense

Time will tell. Hold on to that prediction.

ChazzleDazzle 1 point ago +1 / -0

Hey faggot we're at 57% vaxxed vs 43% unvaxxed with 16 days to go.

48/52

-3
tuchodi -3 points ago +1 / -4

I'd argue with you, probably, if I could see where you got those numbers. Since I can't, meh....

2
yuppa 2 points ago +2 / -0

nowhere in your pasted description of partially vaxxed does it mention the 14 day period.

yet here it is on the cdc website, and yes I know its an american source but I know for a fact our government is calculating these things the same way.

The fully vaccinated status is achieved 14 days after the second dose.

that is extended to boosters as well. You can be triple jabbed but within 2 weeks of receiving your third jab and the government is gonna say you are unvaccinated to pad its stats if you need medical attention.

this is especially loathsome when many people experience severe adverse reactions to the jab within the first 2 weeks and are counted as unvaxxed covid injuries instead of vax injuries.

So keep posting your bullshit and believing everything the government releases at face value.

mrna is a killer. lockdowns have done nothing. governments haven't increased medical capacity anywhere - in fact they've actually shrunk many hospitals capacity! but hey lets blame the 10% of the population thats not vaxxed cause we love discriminating against identifiable minorities!

-5
tuchodi -5 points ago +2 / -7

go ahead and line up for that booster.

It'll raise your chances of staying out of the hospital and the ICU

-9
tuchodi -9 points ago +1 / -10

The number of new cases can no longer be counted properly because the Omicron variant travels so fast. All they know for sure is there are way more cases than they can count.

What's important is the load on the healthcare system, and it's crystal clear that your chances of staying out of the hospitals and ICUs is many, many times better if you are vaccinated. Look at the proportions on these graphs: https://covid19-sciencetable.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/2022-01-05-Current-COVID-19-Risk-in-Ontario-by-Vaccination-Status-Separate-Charts-1024x317.png

Those graphs plus lots more information available at this page: https://covid19-sciencetable.ca/ontario-dashboard/

New talking point guys: Don't pay attention to the high number of vaccinated morons who contracted the disease, spread variants all over the western world, and are sending us back into lockdown. They're also killing grandma and the vulnerable.

Afks 5 points ago +6 / -1

Every single one of that accounts’ comments in the last week is in the negatives

They are a shill

-9
tuchodi -9 points ago +2 / -11

It's the people showing up at the hospitals that are sending us into lockdown, because the hospitals can only handle so many. And the unvaccinated outnumber the vaccinated - proportionally - maybe five to one in the hospital beds and twenty to one the ICUs.

If they were all vaccinated - and I know some can't be for medical reasons - there would be 9 of them per million in the ICU instead of 135, and 106 per million instead of 532.

Our ragged healthcare workers wouldn't be carrying such a load, and so many elective surgeries wouldn't have to be cancelled.

Right now some people are going to die because they can't get their cancer treated in a timely fashion.

You assume these numbers are real

They’ve lied about literally everything else but the numbers are accurate?

The shots do fuck all but make this situation worse

Children don’t get strokes and heart attacks but here we are

Wake up

tuchodi -7 points ago +1 / -8

You assume these numbers are real

Reasonably real. Case counts aren't much use any more but I assume they can count noses in the hospitals. Show me that they aren't real.

They’ve lied about literally everything else but the numbers are accurate?

Show me where they've lied.

The shots do fuck all but make this situation worse

Where do you get your numbers from?

Children don’t get strokes and heart attacks but here we are

Where do you get your numbers from?

The first chart shows cases amongst vaccinated people as higher than unvaccinated. The chart is wrong. The “science table” is losing credibility fast.

I wonder if they’re purposely misrepresenting this and since the first chart is wrong, how much trust do you have in the the other two charts?

Nevertheless, the title of this post is correct… the vaccinated are spreading a filthy disease throughout this country.

-5
tuchodi -5 points ago +1 / -6

The first chart shows cases amongst vaccinated people as higher than unvaccinated. The chart is wrong.

The "Current Status in Ontario" list at the top of the web page says that on January the new case count for unvaccinated people was 1601 per million residents, and for vaccinated people it was 1292 per million.

That's what the first chart shows. Both the "Current Status..." list and the chart are on this page: It's all on this page: https://covid19-sciencetable.ca/ontario-dashboard/

Why do you think the first chart is wrong?

4
DoggyDawg 4 points ago +4 / -0

Here are the official stats:

https://covid-19.ontario.ca/data/case-numbers-and-spread

Vaccinated have a higher infection rate.

I wonder why the “science table” is misrepresenting stats?

-6
tuchodi -6 points ago +1 / -7

Nothing on that page contradicts the "Current Status in Ontario" figures from https://covid19-sciencetable.ca/ontario-dashboard/

5
DoggyDawg 5 points ago +5 / -0

It does. Look at the rate per 100,000 chart.

-6
tuchodi -6 points ago +1 / -7

The one that gives rate per 100,000 moving day average over the last 30 days?

I hope you aren't comparing that to the figures for cases per million for Jan 5 2022.

3
DoggyDawg 3 points ago +3 / -0

The one that shows more vaccinated cases per 100,000 than unvaccinated in the last few weeks. These are the official stats. Stats don’t change when you make it per million rather than per one hundred thousand. And, you can change the graph to daily rather than rolling average.
