Canada is basically finished as a nation. They've managed to bring in enough refugees and immigrants while systematically brainwashing the children that now our liberal government keeps getting pounded with corruption scandal after corruption scandal and were an election held today, our country would still elect its liberal government.
I can feel the impacts to our society and culture over the last decade and it has been abysmal. Our corporations and government hires and promotes people entirely based on race, sexual orientation and sexual preference. Hard-work, merit and comptence has been tossed aside in favour of whichever leftist intersectionality void you can fill to make everyone feel better about themselves and their public reputation.
Families and relationships are at an all-time low except among the immigrants who still maintain some semblance of decent moral values; however, unfortunately many of these immigrants are easily subverted by our culture's leftist propaganda machine and by our corrupt government buying people's votes with debt.
Our country spends all its energy fighting ourselves and stifling productivity in the name of social justice. We're on a huge downward trend in all areas in life. It's really game over here in Canada. The best we can hope for is the USA electing Trump and somehow Trump saves Canada. Canadians won't save ourselves.
Interesting. Have you considered the possibility of splitting off and forming another country at some point? It's hard to believe things have become this bad.
Are you Christian btw? IMO, as long as white people live there is a chance, but I am honestly surprised at your description. It seems like we in America are racing to catch up on the wokeness. Until the BLM crap, the corporate support wasn't as strong imo.
We have. I am part of the province, Alberta, that has started a Wexit group https://www.wexitcanada.com/ to try and have the west leave Canada.
I feel like the USA is the last stand in the west. UK is finished as well. Canada has had a lot of Chinese influence in our politics over the last 10 years. Our leader rarely ever crosses China and we're the only country to not ban or put restrictions on Huawei.
I am not Christian because I was raised non-religious but I believe in Christian values and believe one of the biggest issue facing society today is our destruction of moral values to be replaced by nothing. I actually started reading the bible and was thinking of going to church for the first time in my life when the church near my places commences in person events again. The reason is mostly to try and meet like-minded individuals who share similar values because the mainstream is just so lost. Everyone treats people poorly, acts like relationships are transactions where they're supposed to provide value-add and it all just feels so superficial, soulless and lacking in human decency.
The BLM movement in the USA helped to wake-up some fellow Canadians but it isn't enough. I feel like the only chance Canada has is Trump winning, making positive changes and the left continuing to show their true colors.
Well said, fellow Canadian. A lot of what you wrote is identical to how I view things. I was raised non-religious as well. Im thinking of reading the bible, too. I went to a few churches on a Sunday. One of the churches had a women priest that had feel-good, emotional, "were all in this together" type vibe and didn't say anything of real value. In other words, churches are infected, too. But I liked the overall experience. We sang a couple hymns, there was a feeling of community, I tried to be self-reflective. I recommend it.
