Is this actually something people think is financially possible for Canada to pull off ? What are y’all’s thoughts on this . Will it be for every Taxpayer, or are we just guaranteeing a minimum annual income for those earning below a certain threshold ? I personally believe we are fucked if that loser in Ottawa dangles this carrot before the brain dead masses.

Blame lies on the teachers, and the culture of single parenthood.
Fathers are usually the ones who push boys towards independence. Partly because they just get sick of paying for their kids shit and want them to support themselves.
Mothers by nature are more caregivers and protectors of their kids which encourages dependence.
So without fathers, lots of boys never learn the importance of supporting yourself. And they grow up with the mindset that other people should take care of them and provide their needs.
It's guaranteed votes for the Liberals. They're gonna capture all the NDP votes and just rule indefinitely.

It won’t happen. Mathematically impossible, taxes would have to be massively raised. Like GST alone would have to be tripled.
This is another Trudeau fake promise to distract from his scandals and get NDP voters.

Modern agriculture is collapsing. There wont be enough people in 10-20 years (if bill gates gets his way) to justify giant fields of commodity crops anymore except for servicing the elite.
It can't be done right.
It will change peoples’ behaviour too much. Many people won’t work, businesses will be short of low-wage labour, inflation will change buying power, the people that work will have increased taxes, mobile people with money will leave the country, and many more problems that I cannot think of at the top if my head.
But would the federal gov then cut all the employees responsible for administering all those programs? No they wouldn’t. Those programs will stay with a ubi.
