The hospital association in Ontario or whatever it's called wants Toronto, Peel and Ottawa to roll back completely to Stage 2 (whereas Ontario's current system is really just Stage 3 with more restrictions and the elimination of social bubbles, which was actually a Stage 2 introduction). They complain that if COVID ICU occupancy hits 150, they'll have to start cancelling some elective surgeries. Spain has 1,566 in ICU with COVID and they only have 3.2x Ontario's population. So if the sky isn't falling in Spain (in fact the situation in Spain was much worse in the spring than now), why are Ontario's hospitals freaking out at the prospect of having 150+ in ICU again?

My theory is that health care workers just don't want to work and just be given a cheque to stay home (and that Long-Legged Mack Daddy Justin Trudeau is all too willing to roll up the money printer to enable them) because they have an irrational fear of this pussy virus. Any rational person can see that this virus rarely impacts health care workers, who are generally under 65. But NPCs are irrationally paranoid. And they're probably afraid of infecting old, sick people in their lives. That's probably the main motivator as to why health care workers support lockdowns. They don't want to kill the aging parents they take care of. Or they are irrationally afraid of the safety of their children. Or their husband is a fat fuck cuck with diabetes. I see a lot of landwhale nurses on Tinder who are unhealthy as well who were probably mortified of the virus. Meanwhile nurses and PSWs off dating apps let you go rawdog even though you just met. So they over-exaggerate le hospital capacity issues and demand that the government go for lockdowns. We have a shortage of labour (nurses, doctors, etc) that has the skills to manage a pandemic ward so they hold a lot of leverage over us during a pandemic.

And obviously the teachers want to sit at home collecting a cheque. So they are all like "will somebody please think of the children!"

And it's obvious why the epidemiologists spread fear of the virus. If people stopped fear COVID, they'd stop watching the news segments featuring epidemiologists. And the epidemiologists wouldn't get those steady appearance cheques anymore.
