They flee from the King of the Universe because they cannot stand to be in His presence.
That's what being in a cult looks like. I'd still rather be on team Jesus than team commie though.
It’s not a cult if it’s based on logic and reason. The ONLY reason I am still a catholic is because every part of the faith is based on logic and reason as much as faith and tradition. The problem is your average Catholic Church doesn’t teach that these days, you really have to go to the traditional circles to find the truth.
I see a bunch of ceremonial garb and objects based off of tradition, not logic and reason.
The real potency of Christian ideas has been shrouded for a while and exchanged for sheep-like behaviour.
But isn’t tradition important? How else could we be certain of the integrity of the Church if not for tradition? Jesus Christ founded the Catholic Church through the apostles and made Peter the head of that Church ie, the first Pope. In this action He created a structure to maintain the revelation and teachings He came to teach us, through the ages. The objects you refer to there are because Christ being God is King of all things, the object being carried by the priest is called a monstrance, it is the vessel in which the consecrated Host, God truly present in physical form under the appearance of bread and wine, is carried for procession. Does not the procession of a King warrant beautiful vestments, an entourage, a standard? Seems pretty reasonable to me given the reality of the situation which is certainly lost on many of the bystanders in this video.
I agree though that since 1962 there has been a real watering down of the Catholic faith. This is why I say traditional Catholic mass centers are the places to go if one wants to learn the real Catholic faith.
That's not true. It is part of your mythology. Not based out of reason.
Things like the Eucharist may very well have been a potent psychoactive drink in it's origin taken from the Greek Eleusinian Mysteries, but now you're just consuming a placebo.
To say you are actually drinking and eating God is absurd and NOT based off of logic and reason.
Well we know it is true because Jesus Christ, who is God, told us that was the case. We know Jesus was God by His resurrection. We know His existence is documented both by the Church as well as the secular Roman records at the time. Only God could raise a man from the dead, and we know by God’s nature that He cannot deceive. Jesus told us He was God, if He was an imposter, why would God raise Him from the dead? It would make God a liar which we know He cannot be.
You didn't see the resurrection. God being resurrected is FAKE NEWS. Is there value in the teachings of Jesus the guru? Of course. He isn't the god you make him out to be though.
"It's true because it's in the Bible" is very childish reasoning.
Just as you have not seen every science experiment that our modern science is derived from. Yet you still believe the science they determined from those experiments. Is all of that also fake news in your mind because you have not seen the experiments yourself, not recorded the results yourself?
As I have already stated there are ancient records outside of the bible that record that Jesus existed and that He resurrected. Historians from the earliest times agree Jesus existed, that He died, and that He resurrected, I don’t need a bible to tell me that. The fact that the oldest sources say this Is also relevant.
You say Jesus is not God yet you do not make any points to refute the logic I have presented. Simply saying no you’re wrong Jesus was actually this not this with 0 evidence is not an argument.
