The Post Millennial also reached out to gun experts who corroborated the fact that Leonetti’s AR-15 was authentic.

There's no way to know that by just looking at the photos. It's more likely that it's an airsoft. Reason being:

A. The AN/PEQ-5 laser mounted on the handguard looks fake. The real version of those lasers retail for over $2,000, which is two or three times what the rifle costs. It stands to reason that if someone had an extra $2000 lying around for accessories, they'd buy an optic first.

So that "laser sight" being suspect, it's important to know that airsofters use fake imitation PEQ's to house the batteries for thier airsoft ARs.

B. Then there's the crossbow. People who want to be "gangastas" and can purchase actual firearms don't fuck around with crossbows. There are two kinds of people who buy crossbows: People who can't buy real guns, and legit crossbows hunters/shooters. And while that's a legit hunting crossbow, if it were owned by a legit crossbow hunter/shooter it would have an optic on it instead of a vacant scope rail and nothing to aim it with.

It's all just toys for posing. The owner of those "weapons" probably has a katana somewhere out of frame too.
