I was watching Jar Jar Binks (I mean Jagmeet) at a news conference, and he wouldn't let anybody pin him down as to whether or not he has confidence in the Trudy Gov't.

He WILL NOT say that he has confidence in the gov't. But, he won't say that he wants an election either. He's afraid that a Trudy majority would result and he'd lose any power that he now has.
