The PPC may have influenced the outcome of a couple of ridings, but the real vote-splitting in our elections is by the NDP and Greens, which are the parties that maybe 80% of people on r/canada support.

My polling station is way farther away than it was last time and must cover a much larger part of the riding. I can only image what it will be like. Usually I prefer to vote on election day but I went to the advance poll instead.

There is no long term in this. If Trudeau gets re-elected he'll control Canada for the next for years at least. A majority will given him the almost dictatorial powers he tried to bestow upon himself back in 2020. You're assuming that he wouldn't take measures to effectively ban any opposition, especially from what he claims to be "far-right".

The CPC didn't present itself as a reasonable alternative to the Liberals. I've seen one CPC election sign locally. There's a Liberal sign on a habitual Conservative voter's lawn. There's even a PPC sign on a Marxist's lawn. This could be the most important election since WW1.

Each wave "peaks" and decline rapidly. Why? That's just how it is with these sorts of viruses. Trudeau seems to have timed the election to coincide with a peak so that he could milk it for his own political advantage.

If you trust a fly-by-night probably China-based website to send you what it claims to be "ivermectin" that's your problem. I'm assuming if you do get sick as a result you're not planning on going to the hospital, then?

You'll probably get ripped off. Not to mention the fact that you shouldn't self-medicate. Ivermectin isn't a cure and won't prevent you from getting it. Some studies have shown that it could reduce severity and reduce time in hospital for those hospitalized.

We don't have and frankly don't want a two-party system like the USA. I would rather have a Parliament with several parties with somewhat clear differences hashing it out rather than two umbrella parties representing the left and right engaged in an eternal power struggle. The FPTP system has to change, though, or at least some modification made to allow for people to vote for all eligible parties even if they don't run a candidate in a riding.

The PPC can't influence the outcome more than a couple ridings, but if NDP supporters feel that the CPC could win the election they may (or already have) vote(d) strategically. They have much more power to "crown" Trudeau. Not to mention disillusioned Greens.
