It happens, first of all massive DDoS from China. Second of all, these servers are hosted by private patriots out of their own pockets.

They're not spending $250,000/month like reddit does on hosting.

I'm glad you guys took this route, I've suggested it a few times on r/metacanada

My 7th reddit account just got banned yesterday and I was using it solely to be on r/metacanada.
