I'm for UBI for one major reason: it's a hell of a lot more fair than the welfare system we have now is. Would I prefer that zero scammers exist, that immigrants and women don't get preferential treatment when it comes to supports and housing? Of course. But the fact is that that isn't the case. White men are at the absolute bottom of the totem pole despite paying for the majority of the welfare support. I heave read many stories of single white men being down on their luck, out of a job and the government essentially telling them to go fuck themselves. You think they'd kick a single mother out on the street, despite her being poor being her own choice (getting knocked up by a deadbeat)? That is the reality today. I have seen single mothers earn more money on welfare than me without having to leave their houses. It's ridiculous. Think of the children yeah yeah, that doesn't change the fact that she's in her position because of her own choices yet the government will do everything they can with tax payer money to make sure she's clothed, fed and has shelter.
