Traditionally, that's been very true. It used to be a very cheap, very scummy town with cheap places to live, cheap beer and the third dirtiest strip club I've ever seen.
Thanks to the Toronto housing prices boom though, prices are rising so one would have to wonder how many of them are ending up on the streets there, these days.
I honestly have no idea, all I remember is that the strippers were appalling and the beer tasted of dirty lines.
Not that I don't respect that kind of thing.
