It depends on the individual. My boomer dad who is terrified of this virus doesn't mind being locked the fuck down. lmao. Even though there is a very good chance that the virus wouldn't even put him in the hospital, let alone ICU or kill him.
Even in Belgium, which has the highest COVID death rate in the developed world (and they have a very liberal accounting for COVID deaths), only 0.1045% of their population died with COVID. And they include presumptive deaths in that tally of people who weren't tested but died with a respiratory illness that they figured was COVID. Do you have any idea how weak or unlucky you have to be to be part of the 0.1045%? Imagine how much money the top 0.1045% must make. That's how rare it is to be the 0.1045%.
We sacrifice so much to protect 0.1045% of the population.
This is like a peak SJW religion. Except in this religion, all the people who get crushed by poverty or opioid addiction don't matter because COVID is the only thing that we should mobilize all our resources to fight. We have had mass homelessness in liberal cities for a very long time. But we never ran into a huge deficit to fight homelessness why? There are literally more homeless people than people who died with COVID. No joke.
