I don't understand why so many people on the left support lockdowns.

My gay NDP-supporting friend, it makes sense in his case. He's in his early 50s, he's short, he's bald. He's had enough dick in his life to go without until a vaccine. So it's not a stretch for me to understand why he'd support lockdown.

Being a young good looking guy who gets laid from time to time, why on earth would I support these lockdowns?

Are there literally no semi-attractive guys on the left who are single or who have girlfriends who don't live with them? In BC it's illegal now to meet people you don't live with. And in Ontario there is an advisory that you don't meet people outside your household.

My girlfriend is a BLM-supporting NPC (I have never revealed my powerlevel to her) who was posting #stayhome memes on Instagram. And she couldn't resist living without my BWC during all 8 months of quarantine. We met. And I was shamed by my family for potentially exposing dad to coronavirus because I went outside and made close contact with another human being without a mask or social distancing. And guess what? He didn't get sick. I've seen my dad get the sniffles during lockdown. He might have already had the virus and his immune system did what it needed to do. But they buy into the CNN propaganda and think that the virus will send you right to the ICU if you are elderly with pre-existing conditions.
