Has anyone else lost loved ones in the hospital since covid due to lack of care? I've lost two grandparents as we were not allowed to provide the extra care that our just wonderful healthcare system couldn't provide. Now a family friend has the same situation, their bed sores progressed so badly there was no flesh around the heel. Maybe more of a vent, there's just no words for the evil.

Sorry to hear that. Were your two grandparents in nursing homes or the hospital? Nursing home neglect is notorious.
A 93 year old relative of mine died of COVID in a nursing home back in March. The COVID and flu death rates in nursing homes wouldn't be as bad if they provided adequate care to the residents.
Not allowing relatives into the nursing homes and hospitals gives them an excuse to neglect the residents/patients.
My grandma is in a old age home(not LTC) and she fractured her hip, spent 3 1/2 hours on the floor alone. My mom tried to call numerous times with no answer so she called the front desk to check on her. A hour and a half later they went and found her on the floor, fucking criminal. Thankfully I have a good friend who is a nurse at our local hospital and she has been providing us updates but my grandma is alone, confused and asking for my mom, seemingly unaware as to why she can't see her. Really a horribly sad situation
They really are crimnals not letting family help family out
It's very frustrating, for lack of a better word. What little rights we do have are just getting trampled on by government.
I'm very sorry to hear! Not being able to attend funerals, births, weddings. All these extremely important events. It is injustice. It's inhumane. I could go on but we know we're on the same page. You're not alone.
Very inhumane. Think of the young too. We k ow how much non verbal language is important and baby's and toddlers are growing up never have seen a human face in public
Let's pray it doesn't come to it
Thank you very much
I personally talk to a contractor yesterday that said his sister had the virus and she now has permanent lung damage. I asked if she was on a ventilator and he said yes. I thought to myself that’s probably the reason for the lung damage not the influenza she had.
Ya I remember seeing that ventilation needed up putting stress on people's lungs
I can only imagine the pain and anger you are experiencing because of all these injustices. Please don't do anything rash - stay steadfast and take care of your family.
That's awful, I've had basically the same situation with both my grandfathers
Thank you, luckily I was able to spend time with one in the hospital. Despicable what this has come to
Saying a prayer, hopefully something changes.
My grandparents fought commies in eastern Europe and had to flee, part of me is happy they don't see whats happening now.
