The good thing about socialism, communism, or whatever term you give to these leftist, anti-capitalist, authoritarian regimes is that they are totally predictable. They have a failure rate of 100%. Every country that adopts them destroys their economy. In every age. In every culture. With every race. Yes, Sweden too. While still a nanny-state, Sweden abandoned the socialist path because its economy was being destroyed and now is considerably more capitalist than Canada. Ikea is Swedish.

Canada, in contrast, has a particularly inefficient government. Consider the Phoenix payroll system. Look at BC's Fast Ferries. Our government is so disdainful of business that they loose money regardless of the task. Somehow the Long Gun Registry was able to loose billions for collecting fifty bucks off every gun in the country and putting that in a database.
