As someone who used to be a NDP voter, Covid has become the excuse for the left to punch down at the underprivileged in society. Sudden it's okay to mock poor people, the unemployed, small businesses who lost their livelihood, people like myself who are suffering from social isolation and depression. There's rampant ableism with covid as people with disabilities are dismissed. Because covid takes priority over everything. The working class is forced to suffer to protect the wealthy octogenarians who profit off the housing bubble while we can't even get on the property ladder. Did you know that 57% of the wealth is held by baby boomers and only 3% is held by millennials? The median age of death with COVID is like 85. In Ontario, less than 4.5% of the population (80+ year olds) makes up over 69% of the COVID deaths.
Be afraid of going out and socializing. Stay at home and drink every night. No wonder mental health issues and addiction are rising.
