you can read books about what happens during martial law to prepare. What I got out of it was we pretty much want to become invisible and out of sight once it happens. Unless you are Rambo and prepared to die there is no chance of fighting them alone. Stay away from the military or police because they can detain anyone on a whim. If you can run away to the country side away from the cities and populated areas, now is the time. When they detain you they will put you in a camp, thats what internment camps are for. You also have to beware of goddamn snitches, they are everywhere, unfortunately thats just how some humans end up behaving in these type of situations. You really don't want to be subjected to a house raid. Also be ready to defend yourself when the time comes. Crime and theft become a problem under martial law because people have been displaced and are angry. The military is only their to enforce the curfew and restrictions not to deal with criminals or run courts. If their are children or female members in your family or circle you must keep them out of sight or be kept indoors at all times. There are many other dangers to know about with what comes under martial law. It is not a joke , the government has either gone crazy or has been totally compromised by foreign actors.
I hate to say it but thats the grim reality of all this. The military will have full control of the movement of people, communications and supplies, they will be on the lookout for suspicious activity since they anticipate some form of rioting or retaliation, why else would they be setting up the camps for? The way i see it is if you can survive or escape martial law which people in the past have you can regroup with others elsewhere outside of their control. At least you'd be alive in one piece and have the freedom to go after them in a suitable environment. Its just going to be extremely difficult to do anything once you're locked down, theirs no lawyers , money, or supplies coming in under a military rule, you're stuck. The entire point of martial law is to make you a prisoner so theirs not much to do once its going.
I can't really recommend you a specific book because im getting my information from various history books and diaries of people who were under military occupation. How To Survive During Martial Law by Peter Jenkins looks promising. Try to also find literature from army vets who has enforced an actual martial law in foreign countries. Most recently though its been happening in Hong Kong. The people of Hong Kong actually did retaliate against Chinese take over. It's a sad story but the leaders of the resistance have now been detained and are being imprisoned for life as we speak.
