That sub perfectly encapsulates the disconnect between the average person and the average redditor. If you read a couple posts on r/Alberta, you would assume the average Albertan is an unemployed tranny communist on suicide watch
I wrote awhile ago that /r/Alberta is literally the least representative subreddit in Reddit's history; and that I felt sorry for anyone outside of Alberta coming to /r/Alberta for what they think is going to be unbiased information about the province.
It's really quite incredible how out of touch that sub is.
Yeah it’s become a meme at this point. I really hope people don’t read that and assume Alberta is full of leftist losers. r/Calgary is similar, but to a lesser extent. I feel bad when I read a post like,“Hey I’m coming from Australia to work at blah blah company, any tips?” and the top comment is always, “Alberta is run by literal nazis that rounded up all the doctors and fucking shot them, they just killed them.”
