Got this email.

On Friday, I wrote a letter to Doug Ford about the catastrophic effects of the Lockdown. In response, I was removed from the Ontario PC Caucus. I don’t regret speaking out for the millions of lives and livelihoods ruined by Public Health. I got into Public Service to serve the Public.

I want to thank all of you who supported my message and showed me kindness. While I will now sit as an independent, I will continue to serve the people of York Centre & the Province of Ontario.

One of the common messages I got yesterday was “you have given me hope”. Please know that you have strengthened my hope. Genuine hope that this Public Health nightmare will end. Hope that we will rejoice in life’s simplest pleasures again. I assure you, this hope is well-grounded.

As I said yesterday, Covid is real and can be dangerous, but fear of Covid is exaggerated. After ten months we have clear evidence that Lockdowns don’t work. Instead, they cause a catastrophic toll on children, health, mental health, economy & wellness. They must end.

I am of the view that the best thing we can do for the health of Ontarians is to protect Long Term Care and the very vulnerable, build additional hospital capacity and let Ontarians resume life.

There are ample doctors, nurses, scientists and everyday people who disagree with Lockdowns. To deny the expression of any well-founded opinion is anti-scientific.
