The people who lived during the fifties were more based and had a stronger grasp of reality than today's pussies. They weren't as reliant on government, nor did they believe government could solve everything. Welfare statism only becomes deeply entrenched in American society by the mid-1960s with LBJ's Great Society policies. The same occurred in Canada with Trudeau Sr. After that, people became so dependent on government they were willing to wear face masks and hide in their houses like pansies.
