Might wanna check the laws up there first but one strategy is to put this really slimy substance, used in plumbing, and paint it all over the signs. When they grab it, it gets on their hands and it’s just about impossible to wash off for days - harmless but disgusting. I got it on my clothes once and just had to throw them away.
