Politicians make very calculated moves. They are not principled. Politicians only give a shit about getting elected and re-elected. And having a nice cozy job and pension waiting of them after they retire from politics. Unless they are a career politician like Nancy Pelosi or Bernie Sanders who will work until the day they die
