I live in shithole Toronto in a relatively nice condo build
Masks are required in elevators and common areas (barring medical exemption)
I get confronted easily 4-5 times weekly for not wearing a mask in elevator
I used to say "sorry I'm medically exempt" but after 50 of these confrontations I'm done explaining myself and I usually just go with a hard "no"
Last week had a guy who wouldn't get on, asked why I wasn't masked up, I said "don't feel like it"
He follows with "oh that's nice, what floor do you live on?" (presumably to report me)
At the point now where I don't even dread the interactions anymore - I'm just having fun with it.
Anyone have some good one liners for the inevitable "do you have a mask", "where's your mask" etc?
Definitely
Precisely why I opt not to wear a mask anywhere
I know a lot of people who think it's all BS, but wear one anyways, simply to avoid confrontation
There are two or three others in my building who don't mask up, nice to see some people standing up for what they believe
That said, it's pretty depressing seeing the 300 others wear their mask, knowing full well at least 50-100 of them likely know it's bullshit
For the times masking up is needed just to avoid the tiresome bitching (stores etc) get a regular mask and gut the 1st 3 layers. The last layer use a large needle to poke holes.
100% effective at shutting up mask Covidiots and Branch Covidian cultists, while being very effective at being breathable
Also....everyone...get yourself a 'MOSSY OAK' camo hunting neck gaiter/mask. They are about $12CAD. Easy to keep on and flip up when you dont want to deal with Covidian Cultists. Its perforated and highly breathable, but the camo disguises the perforation.
I flip up to enter walmart, sainsburys, tesco, loblaws etc to avoid having to deal with a possible autistic covidian store screecher guard, and drop down as soon as im past them. Then walk thru shop with gaiter down and tucked away and pay at self checkout as per normal. Nobody has said shit so far.
