Aboriginals were murderous. There was constant warfare between tribes. European settlers were accepted so readily in Canada because they treated the Aboriginals better and brought peace. Naturally lefties deny this.

In BC, as many as 90% of the aboriginal population died before settlers arrived from the diseases carried by trading networks. The plagues came before the settlers. When the settlers arrived they brought metal tools, fabrics, dependable food supplies, consumer goods, law and order, medicine, dentistry, democracy, education, and wealth aboriginals had never seen. Sure, they also brought problems, but life for aboriginals improved. Why fight that?
