Yes and no. Turns out the motion was non-binding, but we won't know for sure until 2024, when the next election should be by law. If they can "keep the pandemic going" until then, they might try to pull a fast one.
It was the opposition who tabled this motion. Why would the other parties want to "keep the pandemic going" and deny themselves future election opportunities?
That makes no sense.
This was just a statement put forth by the opposition calling Trudeau "irresponsible" for trying to call an election in the middle of the pandemic.
