Don't worry, tomorrow they'll go back to claiming the variant will kill us all unless we're all vaccinated. Helps keep the doublethink going.
It is now referred to as the “Delta variant which originated in India.” This new phrase is supposed to eliminate any stigma associated with naming a variant after a particular place. I sure am glad global health authorities are so concerned and creative in their approach.
