I started a garden for the first time in a long time, but I have never grown potatoes before. I planted some when I planted everything else, and looking online I see people's plants are about up to their ankle in height when they are harvested. Before anyone asks, I have mounded them up twice, and have just laid down a bed of cut grass as mulch for them.

My russets are up to my waist right now, and some are falling over. They are all healthy, but for a 6' 2" guy like me, I am wondering of I should trim them back or just let them keep growing? Thank you for any help you guys can provide, and I am sorry that this is really off topic to what this board is about.
