But Winnipeg is getting absolutely nuts. I drove in from the cottage through downtown for the first time in ages and WOW what a sight.
The bus shelters are full of people sleeping, literally with pillows and blankets. Trash everywhere. Intoxicated people walking in the middle of the road.
Just crowds of them everywhere. It’s an absolute circus and shithole of a city.
The truth is that almost all of winnipeg street people are natives and they have always been jobless regardless of pandemic. winnipeg has been like this for years. They are still around in the winter but maybe some of them go back North to the rez.
They survive solely off social assistance and aid from christian organizations such as Siloam Mission for food and shelter. Oh and theft. They survive off that too. Don’t mind me if I sound bitter I’ve just had my truck windows smashed on more than one occasion by these useless bastards. Crime in Winnipeg is horrific and almost entirely one demographic
