Generational trauma contributed to her act according to the judge. I believe that could apply for a large number of people. Lots of broken families, veteran dad's with ptsd etc. Not just Indians that had to go to schools.
That defense would only work for chugs though. White trauma is way different.
In his ruling, the judge also highlighted Kublu’s palpable remorse and guilt at every court hearing since her 2019 arrest alongside her controlling, abusive, violent, crack-dealing, older boyfriend (by 10 years at the time) Dwight Brown, now serving seven years in prison for urging the drunken teen to kill her own mother after handing her a knife to execute what the judge branded a “monstrous act.”
The young girl is a hostage of both her mother and this violent, drunken crack dealer. But ultimately, it's the mother's fault for raising the daughter in these conditions and selecting a violent crack dealer and alcoholic for a mate. Thug culture and glorification of violence needs to be adressed in this situation, and the government needs to take a hard stance on this issue, and send the message that - intergenerational trauma or none - we are all responsible for our own behaviour, and violence is not acceptable.
