The power Facebook has is very scary for the future. Even if they were to die out, they've already moved on to either buy or kill every competitor. The dirtiest aspect of it is you can't notice you're being manipulated by it because it's the perfect brave new world-esque mix between people's faces you enjoy and misinformation. You'll get 90% liberal shit on your feed reposted from friends, even though it comes from a minority of the content your friends repost as a whole.
