Sloan it seems didn't understand the point of that motion, which was just make the Liberals look bad in the event they did trigger an election during the pandmeic, which would in turn cost them points at the ballot box.
That motion was just some low-stakes, routine politicking. Elections being canceled was never on the table. It was just a move meant to make the Liberals look bad if they did trigger one.
Aside from that I think his values are probably pretty well in line with most people's here. He doesn't seem to have any real scandal in his background (that we know of yet). But I will say his stock just went down in my opinion with this announcement, because it smells like a grift in the same way the PPC is.

It wasn't a vote to cancel our elections, it was just a statement condemning Trudeau for trying to trigger an election during a pandemic.
