Things seem to be taking a turn for the worse in Canada.
Papers Please coming soon to eat out or shop

I lived temporarily in Red Deer and while it was cold as hell it was still free-er. Thinking about moving the family to Calgary. I live in downtown Toronto currently.
Added benefit that private Christian education is partially government funded. Costs 11k /yr in Toronto, can get similar for $3500 /yr in Alberta. With the push of gender crap on kids is the public system, private education has become a top priority for my kid.
Oh and real estate is still cheap in Alberta. Can still buy property even if only making 40 - 50k a year.
lol
It’s the third biggest city in Alberta with a population of around 100,000. Felt like a smaller town to me but I’m from downtown Toronto.
Has everything you need, your wal mart, Costco, lcbo, sobeys, Superstore, local mall, Best Buy, etc. Mostly a place to go and buy a house to raise the fam in relative safety. There IS crime but this basically felt like a middle class suburb in the middle of Alberta.
Not a lot of younger people in their 20s.
