Nooooooo you can't vote for an a party with actual principles, you have to vote for the party that's becoming exactly like the party you hate to keep the party you hate from winning!
We don't have and frankly don't want a two-party system like the USA. I would rather have a Parliament with several parties with somewhat clear differences hashing it out rather than two umbrella parties representing the left and right engaged in an eternal power struggle. The FPTP system has to change, though, or at least some modification made to allow for people to vote for all eligible parties even if they don't run a candidate in a riding.
Changing FPTP in the Commons would doom us to permanent lefty governments. 30% of Canadians vote Liberal regardless, 20% NDP and 30% Tory, with that distribution there would be no reason to have a Parliament, just give the government over to the Comrades. But if do want more proportional representation just put it in the Senate.

This is not a solution. Never give up, never surrender. We need to unite the right under one banner.

Maybe but I was reading a reddit discussion where they were shitting themselves that a PR system would result in 20 or so PPC seats.
