I don't think there should be special laws for special snowflakes but if you look at the details of the case it wasn't just "mixing up pronouns" it was actively harassing an employee with denigrating names of which intentionally mis-identifying them was only one thing they were doing. It was straight up workplace harassment and should have been treated as such. I hope he enjoyed his $30k worth of being an asshole.
