second time i’ve seen this narrative, that ‘freedom’ supposedly doesn’t mean freedom.

Canadian media is beyond redemption at this point.

'Weaponized.. to undermine democracy'? You mean 'protest'? I am not a fan of protests, but hypocrisy from lefties who worship lefty protesters but cry when somebody else protests is nauseating. And yes, the Globe and Mail is a left-wing paper.
