This is the standalone mirror for reddit r/metacanada. It will run in parallel with the subreddit. Edit: Until the sub shuts down on August 1st.
If you already have an account on thedonald.win, that login works here. If you don't, sign up and create an account. That account will grant access to all affiliated .win sites.
We encourage users to use both the .win and reddit in parallel. This isn't a call to abandon reddit. This is just your new r/metacanada bookmark.
The rules here are the same as on the subreddit, with the exception that here we can consider context and intent, and give the benefit of the doubt as we're not being watched over by admins who are acting in bad faith.
This isn't going to be a place for edgelords to flock to, so if you couldn't get away with it in metacanada, don't bother trying it here. You'll be shown the door.
Ok, commence shitposting and enjoy yourselves.
I’ll stay on Reddit until it shuts us all down, but that site has become a hell hole.
At this point I'm on reddit until the end but at this rate that will be soon.
The sad thing is that the best parts of it have nothing to do with the popular subs that are driving everyone away and are no less popular than they've always been.
Once reddit is done there's going to be a lot of lost information and good communities and that will be entirely due to the site obsessing over its popularity and ability to exert political influence.
It's quite sad but apart from the niche subs, reddit has been dead for a while now and it's continued existence is mostly due to new users reacting to reposts.
What really grinds my gears is the way every non-political sub, such as facepalm or TIL, has been inundated with leftist Trump/Republican hating bastardizations of the original intent of the sub.
It's truly incredible how many completely unrelated subs have turned into nothing but politics and calling out racists.
The 2016 election really fucked up reddit in an irreversible way.
