Reddit's pretty bad now. Recent super-divisive politics divides everyone and reddit plays unfairly and not in good faith.
Reddit is well-funded and it has a large user base. But, it's toxic to a very large swath of the general population now. A LOT of people are being forced to leave.
Reddit has just become a raft of SJWs calling everyone 'racist' just win arguments.
I do think that alternatives have a chance of becoming popular.
True, the more I play around with it, I may stick around. It’ll take time, definitely refreshing seeing opinions being expressed rather than essays about communism
This site has drawn in outsiders like me. Since I'm not just in the US, but California, I don't have much to contribute to this Canadian community. Still, while I'm not posting, I am reading and upvoting.
I do always have Canadian maple syrup at my house, watch BC gold prospecting channels on YouTube, went to a Tokyo Police Club concert a decade ago, and have been to a few NHL games, so I basically have dual citizenship.
.win is a platform though, 1 acc for all the winning. I think that was a pretty swell idea.
The nifty thing about these places is that the shitposting is mixed in with proper discourse rather than a bunch of "yikes" and "someone was never loved" comments.

Which is also missing basic QOL features, unfortunately. I miss RES.
Definitely will, definitely left with a bad taste in my mouth that’s all.
Thanks for the work
