What a dumb fuck. As much as I sympathize with his problems, what did he think he was going to accomplish through violence? And why didn't he try doing something else first? What is it with these idiots who jump straight to killing people to solve their problems?
He could have started by opening his mouth and getting his message out. In a society that's as PC as Canada, it's not hard to get heard if you offend people. Or he could have just caused vandalism and left it at that. Take a sledge hammer to the walls, windows or doors of a building that represents whatever you're pissed at, you unhinged psycho!
You don't get to say "I don't see any other options" when you haven't even tried other options!
He's making Trudeau's undemocratic ban on guns look legitimate, he's making Trudeau look like a victim and his opponents violent, and he's probably going to prison for several years.
Apparently he wrote to his MP and got no reply. Now I agree with you about crashing the gates, and especially the guns. But he was not thinking straight, probably depressed. I mean who goes to visit a war museum with a truck full of guns before crashing Rideau Hall?
That was the most predictable thing that I've ever seen happen.
I don't even know what those guys were thinking. Let's have a great big protest on Canada Day, invite every Q-tard and conspiracy theorist in the country along with the lockdown protesters, whip them into a frenzy with inflammatory speech and demagoguery about traitors, UN agendas and losing Canada as see what happens?
I'm sure the organizers and attendees thought it would just be a mild, peaceful affair with parodies of Trudeau, light speeches and a symbolic march to the US embassy where they'd try and get the PM arrested for corruption.
That would have been great but anyone with half a brain knew exactly what was going to happen and it absolutely happened.
What were the chances that a guy who was pushed over the brink by the pandemic, the economy and globalism showed up and tried take out the Prime MInister? I'd say they were better than 50-50. Far better than 50-50.
This entire thing really showed what I can't stand about Bernier. He makes great speeches, he has great ideas but he has zero instincts when it comes to his supporters.
Just think about how much could have been avoided if he had printed out a picture of prominent white supremacists, gave them to security and staffers then made sure he didn't let any of them take pictures with him? Or better yet, if he didn't take pictures with random people who came out to his speeches at all?
The Canada Day bullshit was always guaranteed to end this way and neither he, nor the organizers could see it. The media certainly hasn't mentioned anything about that protest yet, but they certainly will come the next election should the PPC even exist at that point.
No good ever comes of a Parliament Hill protest on Canada Day.

Hmmm interesting. Hope to get more answers on this case as the story develops.
