Every time I think corporate USA has a raging hard-on for "diversity" I just look at Canada. A direct example would be Home Depot USA vs Home Depot Canada. Their mission statement on the employee website is like "LOOK AT US, WE'RE SO DIVERSE! LIEK #1 DIVERSE IN ALL OF CANADA!" We shouldn't discriminate, but hiring on skin color instead of merit is just as bad. How do these idiots not see that?

It’s always corporate jobs. Never heavy industry or field based positions. How many women or immigrants have you seen on a drilling rig or a service rig? None. It’s always white guys, and occasionally you’ll find an aboriginal, especially the further north you go. For “less dangerous” field jobs like operator, the only time you see immigrants is as summer interns, and they only do it to have an in for next year when they graduate.
