Managing clients, especially high maintenance ones, would be emotional labour, and there's people in every corporation on the planet that need to do it, and get compensated for it.
It really isn't people getting compensated for their feelings. It's being being compensated for putting up with fuckwits and making the fuckwits feel good while they do it.
