So while I agree in principle, and truly believe everyone has the potential to be capable, I'd like you to hear me out on this.
Are all dogs created equal? Is a German Shepard the exact same as Husky? Is the Husky the exact same as a Doberman? Doberman the exact same as a Labrador retriever?
Obviously not.
Why on earth would you think it's different for people?
I studied animal sciences in University, and had a prof bring up a point I had never considered, and is completely politically incorrect, but I think accurate. Look at black dominance in certain North American sports and the summer olympics. Descendants of slaves. Descendants of people who were essentially bred like work animals for a few centuries.
There has been obvious positive benefits come out of that when it comes to physical capabilities and athleticism.
No two people are created equal. All people are created capable of something, but they're not equal. If they were there would be more parity around the globe.
I disagree that the value of the life of a mugger (who cares what race) is as high as that of a productive citizen who is making contributions to society. When the mugger chooses to damage society, society no longer is bound to treat the mugger as a valued member.
