Is there much of a push in Canada for players to kneel? If so, for which anthems? I quit watching NHL after they had the one guy kneel for the American anthem and then stand for the Canadian one, which I thought was kind of ironic, since you guys have Justin "Blackface" Trudeau for a PM.

HNIC is dead without grapes, Ron Maclean is a spineless backstabbing twerp.
Other than the first game, I haven't seen or heard anyone kneeling or being pushed to kneel. The other day I saw the anthems before a game and everyone was standing for both.
Not in the NHL.
The Canadian teams and even the NHL itself know that Canadian fans are steamed enough about Don Cherry already to even consider disrespecting our National anthem.
I have no idea what's going on in the NBA, don't watch it, don't care.
As for the CFL though, there's been an actual push in the CFL ever since Kaepernick knelt to have their most "activisty" players kneel for the Canadian National anthem which sort of took hold for a game, before a journalist had the gall to ask a black player why they didn't kneel and he explained that he was a guest in this country and wouldn't insult our anthem which pretty much killed it.
So the CFL instead forced every coach to wear shirts that read "diversity is our strength."
I wouldn't be surprised to see them kneeling once (if!) they come back though because Damon Allan (Marcus Allan's brother and CFL great) gave a "painful statement in support of athletes kneeling for the National anthem."
Also of note, they renamed the Eskimos without any public outcry so once again they're out to try to out-diversity the NFL for fans and attention.
My thoughts on the issue though, is that kneeling for your own anthem is disrespecting your country, and all the people in it but kneeling for someone else's anthem is a dire insult to another country and all the people in it.
Either way, this shit needs to stop. No one wants to have their sports disrupted by fucking activism and unpleasantness.
CFL is only good to watch live, because you're too drunk to notice that shit, and too drunk to notice you're watching the CFL.
The sad thing about the CFL is that it's the better style of football.
Personally, I love going to live games and getting hammered and but I'd say that all sports are far better to see live than on TV.
They need to move their head office to Regina. Toronto is killing the game.
Hockey stopped being "a white sport" and I stopped watching years ago.
Fuck the NHL.
It used to just be something that white people did. Now it's politicized.
Our problem isn't kneeling while someone sings. Our problem is people who think it's okay to hate other Canadians.
Welcome pede
I posted this the other day when you guys were discussing that first game BS. I was a bit angry at the time I'll be honest.

However, there's not been much of a peep about it since. I know enough people who don't care that they kneeled for only the US anthem, that I suspect they would still watch regardless of what they do. The city libs will still watch their city team. Northern Ontario and Alberta are already pissed enough about Don Cherry. I'm not watching anymore. I suspect they are doing the bare minimum to not be cancelled, but I'm not a fan of players kneeling for the anthem of our ally. Hockey was never political before, it's Canadian culture. We all hope it remains that way.
Got any extra freedom?
When we have developed the ability to beam an arsenal through the internet, you will have it. Alas, technology is currently focused on trying to make boys look like girls.
