Intelligence agencies have been duplicated and become privatized. The folks that run these privatized intelligence firms are the same folks that run the government.

They use government approved tech paid for by the tax payer and then use that same tech and information and sell it to other privatized intelligence firms. The "different" firms are all run by the exact same people.

They use this tech in order to map out human behaviors and predict behaviors.

They use this to influence elections. Among other things.

Canada is just as involved as the states.
